In 2014, Orthodontist Dr. Omar Issa partnered with Dr. Stephen Rayburn who has served the Plano community for over 30 years, and Issa Orthodontics was created. This new partnership brings together two very like-minded orthodontists who believe in using the technological advances available to make orthodontic treatment faster and more comfortable, but also are committed to providing an experience and care that is perfectly suited to each individual. Dr. Issa and Dr. Rayburn are confident that the smiles they create do more than look attractive; the benefits of a smile from Issa Orthodontics are endless. Give us a call today or contact us via our web form, and let Issa Orthodontics power your possibilities.

An admitted "science geek", Dr. Issa loves the ever-evolving field of orthodontics and technology that represents the state-of-the-art care that his practice is known for. When he's not chair-side with patients, you'll find Dr. Issa still devoted to his orthodontic specialty. Whether he's at his computer reviewing a SureSmile or Invisalign treatment plan, or reviewing the latest journal articles and courses, Dr. Issa believes it’s his responsibility to stay on top of the latest ways to provide great treatment to his patients.

Dr. Issa was born in Dover New Hampshire, and then lived alternatively between the US and Egypt as he was growing up. After graduating with honors and a BS in Dental Surgery from Cairo University, he completed a General Dentistry Residency at Cairo University Hospital.

Dr. Issa then returned stateside to further his dental education at The University of Minnesota School of Dental Medicine. There he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Master of Science and completed a Graduate Residency in Dentistry before entering and then completing the Orthodontic Residency Program for his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. This educational path that included multiple residencies provides Dr. Issa a strong foundation that he uses daily in his patient’s orthodontic treatment and gives him particular insight when managing multi-disciplinary cases with general dentists and other specialists. Dr. Issa has completed his certification by the American Board of Orthodontists.

Dr. Issa, his wife (who’s also a dentist) and their two sons love exploring their new home state, taking advantage of parks, restaurants and sports activities. The wide variety of things to do and places to go are some of the reasons they chose to move to Plano from Minnesota. (Well, it may have had a little bit to do with the weather…) Dr. Issa is also an athlete in his down-time; soccer, tennis and squash are all favorite sports that suit his high-energy personality.

"I was an orthodontic patient myself in adolescence and the transformation that occurred impacted my life in such a positive way. My self-image was enhanced and I became interested in the profession as a life career. Nothing ever came along to distract me from that goal. I love to see the results of orthodontic treatment and to compare where a patient started to where they finished. The change is often very dramatic, and all my patients are excited to see their new, straight smiles when their braces are removed.  I count myself very blessed to be a member of the orthodontic profession and to have been able to live and practice in Plano. My wife Jan and I raised our two sons here and we've enjoyed participating in church and community activities, like Habitat for Humanity." - Dr. Stephen Rayburn

Dr. Rayburn received his dental education at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, TX, and then served in the United States Air Force Dental Corps for three years and was stationed in England and Germany. After his service, he then completed a postdoctoral residency in orthodontics at the University of Texas.

Continuing education is a very important aspect of Dr. Rayburn's practice goal to deliver the best, most effective treatment options to patients. He is a lifelong learner who takes courses and seminars to stay current with the techniques and technology that are available. Dr. Rayburn also completed the additional requirements and evaluation process to be designated a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Donna, Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator

Donna has spent her entire working career in the orthodontic field. After spending 11 years as an orthodontic assistant, she then moved to the administrative branch of orthodontics. She oversees our office to ensure the best patient experience. Donna’s favorite part of her role at Issa Orthodontics is that she gets to learn about the interests and hobbies of all the people who come in. The word “stranger” just doesn’t exist for when it comes to Donna; people often say that they feel as if they’ve known her for years. Donna’s favorite color is blue, that being said, she is a big Kansas Jayhawk fan, Rock Chalk – Go Hawks!!!

Sarah - Treatment Coordinator

Sarah is a dedicated treatment coordinator and really loves to see how excited patients are when they get their braces taken off! Sometimes we think she’s even more excited than our patients! She is a funny, compassionate and dedicated member of the Infinite Orthodontic team.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her son, whether it is at the park with friends or snuggling on the couch. She is a loyal Dallas Cowboys football fan and never misses a game. She says the games remind her of Thanksgiving with her grandparents, yelling at the tv.

Sarah also enjoys reading to her son, especially their favorite book, I Love You More Than Rainbows by Susan Crites. Sarah loves all the colors of the rainbow but her favorites are chocolate brown and the peacock colors; purple, turquoise and lime green.

Rachel, Orthodontic Assistant

Rachel is a hard working assistant who really loves getting to know the patients and watching them progress throughout treatment. She is a cheerful addition to our team here at Issa Orthodontics.

When she isn’t working, Rachel enjoys taking her daughter to the park and going shopping. Rachel likes all kinds of sports, but she is especially fond of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Stars. She loves Christmas because it’s all about giving and she likes the cheerfulness it brings. On the weekends, Rachel can be found relaxing by cleaning her house or reading a Nicholas Sparks novel. She loves the color lime green.

Tiffany, Orthodontic Assistant

Tiffany is the social butterfly of Issa Orthodontics. She loves to visit with the patients, whether in the office or out and about in the community. One of the favorite parts of her position is watching the transformation of patients over the course of treatment, and to witness the confidence their new smile brings them.
Tiffany is the first to jump into the newest magazine in our lobby and keeps us all up to date on the latest news and gossip. Outside of the practice you can find Tiffany spending time with her family to watch sporting events and movies, have family cookouts and take trips. You can find Tiffany cheering for the Rangers and the Yankees but if she has to choose she will go for the home team. Being able to spend time with family recharges Tiffany’s enthusiasm and she in turn shares that enthusiasm with her patients.

Meesha, Orthodontic Assistant

Meesha is an outgoing assistant who loves watching the transformation of confidence within our patients from their first appointment, until the day we remove their braces. When she’s not at work, Meesha can be found going to concerts with friends or relaxing in a tent somewhere in the wilderness. Meesha is an avid Texas Tech fan because it reminds her of her childhood home in Lubbock. (Guns up!) She loves tamales, especially when her mom makes them, because they remind her of her grandmother and togetherness, which might be why her favorite holiday is Christmas. She likes the color black, but she really enjoys glitter.
